Broadband for America (BfA) Texas Chapter Responds To National Broadband Plan
WASHINGTON, DC – Broadband for America’s (BfA) Texas Chapter, which includes the Texas e-Health Alliance and Texas Library Association as some of its members, today congratulated the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the hard work and dedication it has shown in developing the National Broadband Plan (NBP).
The below statement was released by Robert Howden, executive director of Texans for Economic Progress:
“Our future economic prosperity will depend heavily on access to high-speed, high-quality broadband service, and we commend the FCC for the thorough and diligent work put into the National Broadband Plan. We believe every Texan should have, and will benefit from, the expansion of broadband access and we are committed to supporting a public policy that ensures the creation of jobs, investment and opportunity necessary to keep Texas competitive in a digital economy.”
