WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Broadband for America (BfA) announces seven additional members to its broad-based coalition, which is dedicated to bringing broadband to every home and business in America encouraging continued private-sector investment and competition to make broadband faster, smarter, safer, and ever more valuable to users.   BfA opened its doors on September 15, 2009 making this one of the fastest growing coalitions in the broadband space.

The new members are:

  • American Institute for Learning
  • All Systems Broadband
  • Tag Cow
  • Brainstorm Internet
  • Conectate Ya Inc.
  • Connect to Communications

“Broadband for America’s message of making sure Internet reaches every single American home and business is resonating,” said Honorary Co-Chairman Michael K. Powell.

Honorary Co-Chairman Harold E. Ford, Jr. stated, “Every day Broadband for America is growing because businesses and industry leaders agree that private-sector investment and competition are the keys to increasing Internet usage and adoption.”

With the addition of these new organizations, BfA now has more than 130 total members ranging from Internet service providers (ISPs), backbone providers, content providers, consumer groups, and commercial groups to end-user organizations, and associations, all sharing the view that America should make broadband access to the Internet available to everyone.
