One week after the release of the FCC’s National Broadband Plan, the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council, a non-profit organization of 200 companies and other organizations dedicated to expanding the deployment of all-fiber networks, will convene a workshop in Raleigh to explore the implications of the plan for builders, operators and subscribers of next-generation broadband – as well as the plan’s prospects for delivering on the promise of universal, high-speed broadband.  The full day of presentations, panel discussions and audience participation on topics related to the NBP will also include sessions devoted to best practices by successful FTTH service providers, as well as an update on the broadband stimulus programs of last year’s economic recovery legislation.  This promises to be an excellent opportunity to engage members of the FCC broadband team on policy issues and the future of America’s broadband networks.
