4G Mobile Broadband Goes Live In New York

New York has become one of the first areas in the country to have competing 4G networks. The companies offering the services say their wireless 4G broadband speeds operate at an average of 3 to 6 megabits a second, nearly four times faster than the typical 3G network. In some cases, the 4G network has been reported to be as fast as 10 megabits per second.

New York Begins Work on Nation's Largest Health Information Exchange

With $129 million in state and federal funding, the New York eHealth Collaborative is beginning work on what will be the largest statewide health information exchange in the nation. “New York’s system will ultimately dwarf them when completed, given the scope of the state’s medical facilities,” said the group’s executive director, David Whitlinger.
