Study: Broadband Boosts Local Economic Development

A new study released by the Public Policy Institute of California says “that employment grows faster in places where access to broadband has expanded.
From the Wall Street Journal’s article on the study:
“Jed Kolko, associate director at the PPIC and author of the report, compared changes in several economic outcomes with the extent of broadband expansion. To measure the expansion of broadband availability, he relied on FCC data on the number of broadband providers in a ZIP code.”
