Earlier this year, the administration submitted a cybersecurity proposal to Congress, recommending tactics to safeguard our nation from online predators and promote online safety resources. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security is working to secure unclassified networks for all Federal executive branch departments and agencies, as well as developing risk management measures for key infrastructure in our nation.

According to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, U.S. cybersecurity must continue to evolve to keep up with growing threats from cyber attackers. "Every day, our adversaries grow more sophisticated. As these threats evolve, so must our capabilities. The need for collective action on cybersecurity has never been greater," Napolitano wrote in a Politico Op-Ed. Cybersecurity legislation has gained strong bipartisan support.
