Broadcasting & Cable’s John Eggerton previewed today’s appearance by FCC Chairman Genachowski before the Senate Commerce Committee to discuss the recently released National Broadband Plan.
 
Eggerton reported that ‘’FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski says the government has a crucial but ‘restrained’ role in the rollout of broadband, and should focus with ‘laser-like’ precision on solutions’’ according to prepared testimony.
