A new report released yesterday finds that teens send nearly five times as many text messages as adult. But the Pew report also found mobile phone use is growing amongst African-Americans and English-speaking Hispanics.

The Pew report found that even while teens lead the texting revolution, adults still send an average of 10 text messages per day.

“Texting among adults has reached the mainstream and the charge is being led by African-Americans, Hispanics and young adults,” said Pew’s Amanda Lenhart.
