Jeb Bush and Bob Wise Launch Digital Learning Council
The National Journal reports that former Governors Jeb Bush and Bob Wise have launched the Digital Learning Council, a group committed to promoting digital literacy:
"Technology has the power to customize education for every student in America," said Bush, co-chair of the Digital Learning Council. "Providing a customized, personalized education for students was a dream just a decade ago. Technology can turn that dream into reality today."
To date, more than 50 leaders from education, technology, government, and other fields, have joined the bipartisan council. The combined brainpower of the new group will identify policies to move digital learning from the marginal role it plays today to the forefront of education.
Ultimately, the council will make its final recommendations on digital learning the focus of a nationwide campaign to promote the adoption of those policy principles by states.

Saab 9000 Fuel PumpHi. I've been taking the Mirafit religiously since I received it but I don't know whether it's doing anything or not. The only thing I feel is gassy and constipated. Do I need to take it longer to get results? Of course, I just got off some medications that could have been causing the other things too. I will continue to take it just because it has such good reviews. I guess I'll know if it's working when I weigh in next week
Bravo!
Sometimes I think people write and do not really have much to say. Not the case here. You certainly have something to say and you say it with style, my man! You have an interesting way to draw people in, what with your videos and lyrics. You've got a good punch one or two for a blog!Essay Help UK

US Education Standings
I find it interesting that the biggest critics of the American public education system have never taught in a public school, and many of their children have never attended a public school. I think their real agenda is to dismantle public education, because they see it as a benefit that lower income people and minorities don't deserve. First of all, you can't compare the American public education system with that of any other country, much less make comparisons between states. By in large in America, a free and appropriate public school education is a promise to every single child in America, and is often a written edict in every state Constitution. Keeping this promise is neither cheap or easy. This is not the case in most of the rest of the world, where students drop out early to help support their families, and students with any type of handicap often get no opportunity at all tyo go to a public school. Finally, I don't see American parents sending their children to other countries to be educated, and our country, despite its perceived shortcomings, still produces the the world's leading scientists, engineers, lawyers, and doctors. We have the best education system in the world, and it does exactly what it is designed to do.
Digital Learning Council
As a technologist, futurist and a person involved with education frequently over the last 30 years, I not only support the goals of the Digital Learning Council but anticipated them over 10 years ago. In fact, with ever challenging school budgets as a possibility, I fully expect digital learning to take-up an increasing role in some school districts in the country.
As the 2010 Top STEM Professional for National Lab Day, part of the White House Educate to Innovate initiative, I took full advantage of the www.nationallabday.org platform, that connects teachers and STEM pros, to do distance learning projects in a variety of states via email, Skype, video and web design, to engage students in diverse projects such as solar powered cars, supermassive black holes, invisibility via light refraction and how science fiction becomes the next science. Digital learning is not the future, it is now, and in the future it will more important be than ever before.
