Genachowski Says Broadband Plan Good for Economy

National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition,” touched on the FCC’s National Broadband Plan today. Their report discussed FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski’s statement that the plan will provide a boost for the economy rather than being a drag on taxpayer dollars: “This plan is revenue positive for the American people,” Genachowski told NPR. “When you look at the spectrum that we’ll recover and the auctions that will generate, even before you start counting revenue from increased investment and job creation, the plan is revenue positive.”
