While delegates from across the globe debate the future of the Internet’s regulatory structure in Dubai this week, the US House of Representatives expressed its commitment to the highly successful, unregulated governance model that has led to unprecedented innovation and economic growth around the world.

Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and incoming Committee Vice-Chair Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) expressed their support for S.Con.Res.50, a concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress to preserve and advance the multi-stakeholder governance model under which the Internet has thrived. The House overwhelmingly approved S.Con.Res50 by a vote of 397 to 0. The resolution is nearly identical to one sponsored earlier this year by Rep. Mary Bono Mack (R-CA).
