CTIA Study: Wireless Traffic Increased by 110 Percent

A recent study released by CTIA reports that wireless data traffic has increased by 110 percent. The survey also found that MMS messaging is up 64 percent and 57 percent more Americans carry around smartphones, a potential contributor to the increase in wireless data traffic.
CTIA remarked on what the wireless increase means from an industry perspective, "In order to meet the demands by consumers and businesses, we need more spectrum so our wireless ecosystem can keep fueling the 'virtuous cycle' of innovation and competition."
