Public and private partnerships continue to deploy new broadband access and adoption projects across all 50 states toward the goal of getting every American home and business connected to high-speed Internet. Here is a look at some of those new broadband stories from around the country:

In Georgia, a $21.2 million broadband public-private initiative will support a new project designed to expand fiber infrastructure across 14 counties in the Northwest and Eastern parts of the state. “It’s a pretty exciting project. We’re looking forward to it,” said David Howerin, planning director for the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission. Read more about the announcement here.

In South Carolina, a $19 million dollar project will expand broadband access across Orangeburg County. The project is expected to reach more than 3,800 home and 90 businesses. "That will keep us competitive in the 21st century," said Economic Development Commission Executive Director Gregg Robinson. Read more about the announcement here.

In Virginia, two broadband grants will bring fiber lines to schools in eight Southside counties. “What that really does for us in this region is pretty dramatic,” said Bryan David, executive director of the Region 2000 Economic Development Council. Read more about the announcement here.
